Privacy Policy
How the Book Cricket iPhone app handles information.
Effective date: October 7, 2026 · Version 1.0
No developer data collection
Book Cricket does not send personal information or gameplay data to ScalingHuman AI or a developer-run server. It has no accounts, advertising, analytics SDK, tracking, cloud match service or in-app purchases. It does not access contacts, location, photos, camera or microphone.
Offline gameplay and preferences
Solo and same-phone matches are handled on the device. Scores, page draws and the active match are held for gameplay; this version does not maintain persistent match history. The scoring-page preference is stored locally in the app’s private settings. You can change it in match setup; deleting the app removes the app’s local settings.
On a foldable iPhone, hinge status recognizes closing and opening as a move. Hinge events are processed locally, are not stored as a history and are not transmitted to another player or the developer.
Optional nearby-phone matches
If you choose nearby play, Apple’s Multipeer Connectivity framework discovers and connects the two phones. The app asks for local-network access. Discovery and invitations use the phone’s device name; the player name you choose is shared directly with the other phone, along with the selected book/rules, page draws, scores and match state needed to play and reconnect.
The peer session requires encryption provided by Apple’s system framework. Nearby messages are handled on the participating phones, not uploaded to a hosted game service. The developer cannot see these messages. Enter a nickname if you do not want to share your name. Disconnecting ends the peer session; local-network access can be changed in iPhone Settings.
Books and external references
All six books and the facts search are bundled and available offline. The app does not download book content or send search queries to a server. If you open an ICC, MCC, NASA, Project Gutenberg, privacy or support link, your browser opens that website. That website and your browser handle the visit under their own policies; they may receive ordinary web information such as your IP address.
Support
If you email support, we receive the message and any details or attachments you choose to send so we can respond. Your mail app/provider handles delivery. Do not send private information that is unnecessary for the support request. For privacy requests, contact srikantha.ballani@gmail.com.
Children
The game does not require personal information or an account. Nearby players should use nicknames and connect only with people they know. The app does not include a chat or messaging feature.
This website
The scalinghuman.ai website may use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate visits. This is separate from the app; Book Cricket does not send gameplay, hinge events or device information to website analytics.
Changes
This policy and the App Store privacy answers will be updated if a future release changes these practices.
